I am messing around with the theme at joeyfoxenberger.com.
But I am having some problems with some things. Is there an email I can contact you at?

You can email me at newdevweb at gmail dot com, but I would prefer if you just posted you questions or comments here, so that when I answer them others can benefit as well.

oo. no problem. but looks like my problem was fixed with the update. the right and left columns weren’t the same height when I was trying to change the size of the title in the header.
will try it out later this week.
Thanks

I created a mainpage area that is the same color as the sidebar, and then floated the white-background content area to the left. That way the whole page scales to the size of the blog posts. Good luck with your site, and drop a comment here if you have any questions, because that will help me improve the theme when you find situations that I didn’t anticipate.

I’m glad you like it! Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for the next version. Is it ok if I post your link on the example sites page?

Sure – that’s no problem!
Probably the only thing is that the page bar right at the top doesn’t highlight which page you are currently on. Also in the CSS the background colour doesn’t seem to be exactly the same as the images of the clouds.
Thanks again!

For the blogsimplified WordPress theme, I was modeling the navigation bars on Twitter. For an upcoming theme, I will look at making a navbar that highlights where you are in the website.
For the background color, I noticed this too. There is a difference in how various browsers render colors, I found out. Which browser are you using?
To fix this issue, I made the background repeat in the new updated themes. That way it is always the same in every browser.
Which version of blogsimplified are you using?

I’m using blogsimplified 1.0.3 (I saw a new version and upgraded).
I am using Firefox 3.0.3 on the Mac – I can have a closer look at the differences tonight.
Thanks, Garry

Here is more on how Safari and Firefox render colors differently.
http://css-tricks.com/color-rendering-difference-firefox-vs-safari/
If it looks right in Safari, it looks wrong in Firefox, and vice versa. The problem should be fixed in blogsimplified 1.0.3 by simply repeating the background image.
In an future release, I will investigate how others got around the browser difference.

The only reason I noticed was I was playing around with a non-repeating background, it’s not the end of the world.
According to Pixelmator the cloud background is #7fdfea whereas the CSS is #9ce4e7.
Thanks, Garry
